If something isn’t working correctly, include your device model and iOS or iPadOS version. You can find this information under Settings > General > About. If the issue involves a tool, include the tool name, the values you entered, the result you received, and the refrigerant selected when applicable.

Common Questions

What’s free and what does the unlock include?

TradeBuilt is free to download. The refrigerant PT charts are free, along with a selection of tools and conversions available immediately after installation. A one-time purchase unlocks the rest of the HVACR toolbox, including tools added to it later.

The toolbox unlock is a one-time purchase and does not require a TradeBuilt account.

I purchased the unlock, but features are still locked

Open any locked tool and select Restore Purchase.

You can also use Restore Purchase when installing TradeBuilt on another compatible device using the same Apple Account that originally purchased the unlock.

Purchases and purchase restoration are handled through Apple. An internet connection may be required for Apple to verify the purchase.

A calculation or result doesn’t look right

Contact us at tradebuiltusa@gmail.com and include:

• The tool you were using
• Every value you entered
• The result TradeBuilt returned
• The refrigerant selected, if applicable
• Your device and iOS or iPadOS version

The more information you provide, the easier it is for us to reproduce and investigate the issue.

Always independently verify field measurements and calculation results against applicable manufacturer information and requirements before performing work.

Important notices keep appearing

Important notices are designed to make safety and application information available when using applicable tools.

You can manage important notice preferences from TradeBuilt settings by selecting the gear icon on the home screen.

If you change an individual notice setting, that preference applies to that notice. The Show Important Notices setting controls the broader display of important notices throughout the app.

I can’t find a refrigerant

Send the refrigerant designation to tradebuiltusa@gmail.com.

TradeBuilt continues to expand based in part on what technicians need in the field. If a refrigerant you work with isn’t available, let us know.

Does TradeBuilt work on iPad?

Yes. TradeBuilt supports compatible iPhone and iPad devices.

Your unlock can be restored on compatible devices using the same Apple Account associated with the original purchase, subject to Apple’s applicable App Store purchase policies.

Do I need an internet connection?

No internet connection is required to use TradeBuilt’s built-in tools, conversions, or refrigerant PT charts.

TradeBuilt is designed for field use where a connection may not be available, including basements, crawlspaces, rooftops, and mechanical rooms.

An internet connection is required when communicating with Apple for activities such as purchasing or restoring the TradeBuilt unlock.

Refunds

TradeBuilt purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. TradeBuilt USA does not process App Store refunds directly.

Refund requests must be submitted to Apple through Apple’s Report a Problem service.
